Beautiful Excavated Artillery Button With E. M. Lewis of Richmond Backmark

This is a nice examle of the rare E M Lewis of Richmond manufactured Artillery coat buttons. The patina is a pleasing plum/brown. The backmark is legible, though soft as they were often light strikes . The shank is missing and there is a slight push to the face. This is a great dug specimen that displays perfectly.

Beautiful excavated lined "C" Confederate Cavalryman's Coat button with Superior Quality backmark. This is the harder lined letter C specimen versus the more common block style C button. There are no cracks, holes, or repairs whatsoever. The face has a beautiful deep and rich patina, which displays perfectly. The brass back shows a little ground action and part of the top of the shank is missing.

A very affordable example of an uncommon button that really displays great.

Beautiful Dug Georgia State Seal Coat Button With Stand UP Shank -- Backmarked Horstmann With Rays

Beautiful dug Georgia State Seal coat button, made by the Horstmann & Allien button company of New York. This specimen is in excellent dug condition with no significant ground action or cracks. The button and shank are both very solid. The Horstmann backmark and the word "CONSTITUTION" are both legible.

22 mm Beautiful Dug Louisiana Pelican Coat Button With Scovill / Waterbury Backmark, Gold Gilt and Original Shank

A fine dug Louisiana "tiger" 22mm dug Pelican coat button, complete with original shank, and Scovill / Waterbury backmark. The gold gilt on the face highlights all the detail of this finely crafted pre-war made button. The face on this one is about as good as you'd ever expect to find in a dug specimen. The back has one tiny area that has been stabilized and is slightly darker.

This one will make an excellent addition to your display at a very affordable price.

Gorgeous Non-dug Georgia State Seal Coat Button

This Georgia button measures 24mm and is simply beautiful retaining almost all of the gold plating. There is one small area of discoloration from about 1:00 to 2:00, as can be seen in the pictures. The back mark is Van*Wart *Son & Co. Based on the date this backmark was used, this example survived a run through the US naval blockade.

Excavated Rifleman's coat size button with Scoville Mfg Co. Waterbury backmark and stand up shank. Very solid button that dispays great.
